As departure day edges ever closer, we have been making lists, and trying to be sure all of the details of our lives are covered for our two and a half month absence from home. Prescriptions, newspaper, taxes, etc. have been taken care of.
I discovered a new resource, Passport America which offers savings on campgrounds, so I dove back into our route, cross-checking campgrounds available from that site with the route we are planning. I finally decided that that $44 investment for a one year membership was worth a shot, and changed some of the stopping points to accommodate that. Hopefully, it will save enough money to be worth the effort. Time will tell....
I have ordered an internet antenna, which will hopefully give me enough signal boost to allow me to do some blogging while we are gone. Probably won't be able to load too many pictures, but would like to try to keep up with our travels as we go.
Also, called family members we are planning to visit, alerting them that we will be coming their way. Still have not made reservations anywhere but the Grand Canyon, to allow us to keep flexibility in route and stops as we travel.
I have been doing some shopping, so we can carry as much meat bought on sale as possible, within the limitations of our freezer in the trailer. Now, we are down to packing the trailer with food and clothes, which really cannot happen until week after next. Not sure how I will contain myself from now til then!

Here is the final segment of the route, finally mapped out!
From Branson, we will head to St. Louis, then on to Lexington, KY. Then to Asheville, NC where we will visit with more family and our final stop will be back in our home state at Oconee State Park, to see our daughter and son-in-law before making the final run home.
